As the Hotel Torcolo is a 2-star hotel, the tourist tax charged by the City of Verona is €2.00 per person per night.
It applies to a maximum of 4 nights’ stay per person per month.
Who is exempt?
The main categories exempt from the charge include:
• Children under the age of 14
• People with disabilities and their carers
• Patients receiving treatment or hospitalised at healthcare facilities in Verona, and their carers as provided for in the regulations
• Law enforcement officers and emergency services personnel on duty
• Other specific categories provided for in the municipal regulations
Who is eligible for a 20% reduction?
The following guests pay 80% of the tax (i.e. €1.60 instead of €2.00):
• those aged over 70;
• those aged between 15 and 25;
• members of groups of more than 25 people.
